I have a love-hate relationship with all of my selfportraits. I am drawn to them, but really despise one or several of their traits., be it technical or conceptual.
Still, I believe selfportraits are a much needed malade. The act of looking into oneself is as scary, uncomfortable and veritiginous, as it is necessary for self enigmas and demons which are invisible to rational introspection, to surface and hopefully one day, be solved.
This is neither my first, nor my last..but I think it's important in my selfportrait process....well, what am I saying...they all are..perhaps I'll post the rest someday.
