Second in the modified-traditional-chinese-lady-painting technique but with a non-asian theme. I have to say it's quite fun and I'm becoming somewhat addicted to it.
Young girl crowned in mistletoe, with basket of evergreens, mistletoe, wheat oars and oranges, strolling down snowy path.
This one I made for Christmas/Yuletide cards I'll be sending out to family and friends
Again, Watercolours, chinese ink and gouache on Arches Cold Pressed 7x10
PS: After doing some research I found out that Oranges are a symbol of the Sun to come in longer days after Yule....
A lovely personalized card. I was looking add it and went: Oeh, a Christmascard...but, but...It's Asian? So you certainly achieved the style you were after. It looks like something that could almost be on a scroll, exept for the theme of course
Oh my, this really is beautiful. I love the texture of the paper, especially on the sky. The girl is so pretty and the evergreen trees on the background look almost like real ones. Good job, I would surely be happy to get a Christmas card like this!
